Earlier this month the UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO) released updated information about its equality objectives and how it aims to meet them. The rolling page on the UKIPO website regarding its equality initiatives includes information on its joint statement in support of women in IP with a view to a sustainable, healthy and balanced society, enriching life for everyone. The UKIPO has an Inclusion and Diversity Steering group headed by the Chief Executive and made up of representatives from business and union representatives. The group exists to “promote good practice and to ensure that dignity, fairness and respect for one another is at the heart of all that we do”. The page also includes commentary on the gender pay gap, diversity objectives and outreach activities at the UKIPO.
