Ouraring Inc. File Patent Infringement Lawsuit Spree

Ouraring Inc. filed a series of claims for patent infringement on 17 November 2025 at the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, alleging that Reebok International, Zepp Health and Noise have infringed Ouraring’s patent for a ‘smart ring’, a ring device that includes RFID for contactless payment and provides health monitoring.

Ouraring’s strategies vary between the different claims, with their focus on Reebok International and Zepp Health being direct infringement allegations, whereas it is seeking injunctive relief against Noise to prevent it from competing in the US market.

It is stated that Ouraring’s claims have been made in order to combat the advent of ‘copycat’ products, although sceptics may claim that the lawsuits may be spurious attempts to monopolise the market for this kind of product. However, Ouraring has grown in notoriety for its litigious nature, and is well-known for licencing its intellectual property to companies to market similar products.
