LIV Golf facing another legal dispute

Professional golf tour, LIV Golf, is facing court action from the Miami based and well-known nightclub called LIV. LIV the nightclub has hosted mega-stars over the years including both Elvis and Frank Sinatra and faces such as Prince Harry have also been seen in there. The nightclub has filed a Notice of Opposition against LIV Golf’s recently filed trade mark. The nightclub argues the trade mark is “visually, phonetically and aurally similar” and shares similar goods and services to the nightclubs own mark. LIV Golf allegedly chose the name as LIV represents the number 54 in Roman Numerals. The nightclub claim its marks are registered across the globe and have been used for 15 years. This isnt the first dispute LIV Golf is subject to. It is also in legal disputes with PGA Tour and DP World Tour. It is to be seen if this matter will settle amicably.
