The China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) announced a new group of experts on data protection to review the existing framework for data protection in China. The group includes individual experts from various fields including legal, industry, economics, security and technology, who will come together to pool their perspectives and expertise in order to navigate through ongoing changes to support the protection of data within the IP system in China. The Chairman of CNIPA, Shen Changyu, commented that the meeting that building an IP system for data brings innovative changes to the existing framework and that includes the opportunity to introduce new rules.
