American footwear company Crocs, Inc (“Crocs”) has settled a dispute with multinational retail corporation Walmart. Crocs issued proceedings against 21 companies back in July 2021 for alleged trade mark infringement, one of which was Walmart. Although the terms of the settlement are yet to be disclosed, a spokesperson for Walmart claims the company is “pleased to have reached a resolution.” A spokesperson for Crocs confirmed “Crocs will continue to aggressively protect its trade marks and other intellectual property rights…”, though declined to comment on other ongoing litigation. Crocs have been active in its legal fight against copycats, it is to be seen how the remaining legal battles will play out.
