Luke graduated from Northumbria University in 2022 with an Integrated Master’s LLB (Hons) Exempting degree. In fulfilment of his degree, Luke wrote his dissertation on copyright in music, examining issues surrounding YouTube and other streaming services.
Luke joined McDaniels Law as a paralegal in March 2023 having previously worked as a paralegal at a national specialist litigation firm based in Newcastle. Luke commenced his training contract in October 2023 and is set to qualify as a solicitor in April 2025.
What are the values that drive you or /and what do you enjoy about the work you do?
I enjoy the challenge that comes from working within a complex area of law such as Intellectual Property. I particularly enjoy litigation work, having had prior litigation experience in my previous role dealing with claims on both the Small Claim Track and Fast Track.

Random fact: I can solve a Rubik’s cube (without taking the stickers off).
