Back in November, we reported on rappers Drake and 21 Savage who had been sued by global mass media company and publisher of Vogue magazine, Condé Nast. The claim was brought for alleged unauthorised use of Condé Nast’s brand name and trade marks. The rappers have reportedly settled the dispute with Condé Nast. No formal notice of settlement has been filed at the court as of yet, but the agreement is believed to include a permanent injunction which will stop the rappers from using Condé Nast’s Vogue trade marks. The rappers had used the brand name Vogue and its trade marks to promote their new album ‘Her Loss’. The stunt did however make headlines and therefore appears to have achieved its aim. It is to be seen if the formal settlement will be filed at the federal court in the coming days.
