We previously reported on the change being made to the name of the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM) to the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in our article entitled "Community Trade Marks - Act NOW and make a declaration." This change goes live as of today and you can view the new EUIPO website here.
There are further changes including:
Community trade marks become known as European Union trade marks; and
An amended fee structure will apply.
Amended Fees
Overall, renewals and official fees for litigation before the EUIPO are reduced and the new fee structure is slightly better for single class applications. The changes are as follows:
Application fees (e-filing)
