McDaniel & Co. appoints new Director

Niche IP specialist firm McDaniel & Co., are delighted to announce that Kelly Hudson is to be appointed to the position of Director, by owners Niall and Rozanna Head-Rapson. The appointment will take affect from August 2017.

Kelly is local to the North East having been educated in the area, graduating from Northumbria University with a first class honours degree in Law. She joined McDaniel & Co. in 2008 as a Trainee Solicitor and remained with the firm following qualification. She was made a Senior Solicitor in October 2012 and a Senior Associate in January 2015. In July 2015, Kelly successfully qualified as a Trade Mark Attorney having undertaken further post graduate study. Kelly's work has included a broad range of IP subjects and she has progressed so well that she is noted by the legal publications as a recommended lawyer in her field.

Kelly has been involved in a number of reported cases but her real value is her ability to identify issues and deal with them speedily and efficiently.  She gives targeted and cost effective advice enabling business of all shapes and sizes as well as individuals to protect their IP, enhance its value and deal with counterfeiters and copyists quickly and definitively. Clients have often commented on her depth of knowledge and the high quality service she provides, as a result she has longstanding relationships with many clients and often gets new instructions by referral.

Kelly is delighted to have been able to progress her career at the firm and is looking forward to the new opportunities and challenges being a director will bring.
