Kris Jenner Applies to Trademark the Word 'Momager'

Kris Jenner, the former wife of Bruce Jenner and head of the Kardashian family, has filed legal documents to trademark the term "momager", a reference to mothers managing their children's affairs, in the entertainment world.

The nickname is an apt description for Jenner who has managed the affairs of her six children, Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and Rob Kardashian, and Kendall and Kylie Jenner, shrewdly building an empire and keeping the public interested in their family antics.

The Keeping up with the Kardashian's matriarch aims to embrace and monopolise a nickname that has stuck with her since her family rose to fame.  If granted, the term will solely belong to Kris and any other person, including the other family members, would require her permission to use it otherwise they could face legal action.

Ms Jenner has already secured a trademark for the term "momager" in respect of "personal management services" and for use in her reality show and on this basis it would seem likely that the trademark will be granted.
