Disclosure Deny Lyric Copying

The BBC are reporting that Disclosure, the electronic music duo, have been accused of copying lyrics created by Katie Farrah Sopher, a claim that Disclosure deny.  The brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence who form the band were responding to a Claim which has apparently been lodged at the High Court.

Sopher claims that certain lyrics are taken from her personal song book having been stolen by an ex-boyfriend.  The ex-boyfriend is alleged to have taken the song book and sold the contents to music industry contacts.  Disclosure deny that they take lyrics from others unless they are co-authoured and then proper credit is given.
