Copyright War declared on Modern Warfare Character

It has been recently reported that, photographer and writer, Clayton Haugen filed a lawsuit in Texas, alleging copyright infringement against companies Infinity Ward and Activision with respect of a character named “Mara”, used in the game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Clayton alleges that “Mara” has been copied from the character he created called “Cade Janus” in what he believes was a “deliberate, intentional and comprehensive” act of copying. Interestingly the real life model for both Cade Janus and Mara is the same person, actress Alex Zedra.
